What this tool answers
You need a first-pass manual pallet-jack Working Load Limit before moving a loaded pallet in a warehouse, shop, or backroom. The calculator adds cargo and empty pallet weight, then names the smallest class on this site’s ladder (5,500 or 6,600 lb) that clears the gross — or returns NO_MATCH.
Why add the empty pallet
Nameplate capacity covers everything on the forks. Ignoring skid weight understates the load. Standard wood pallets often weigh tens of pounds; plastic or metal skids can weigh more.
Fork fit still matters
This screen checks weight only. Confirm fork length/width against your pallet openings and that the lowered fork height clears the pallet entry.
When the answer is NO_MATCH
If gross exceeds 6,600 lb, this site returns NO_MATCH. Split the load, use a higher-rated truck, or powered equipment — do not force a consumer 6,600 lb jack.
